When large numbers of small investors become day traders you know it's time to exit that market. The seemingly unsuspecting Chinese masses are going to receive the rude awakening of a market crash that developed countries investors have already learned from (well mostly, not everyone does). The result is going to be ugly. It will be the level of speculative borrowing by those same investors and Chinese companies that determines whether or not the market mimics the US Great Depression.
