My gaokao story

哈,還是忘不掉 (China)

I have been always the top in my school. Everyone had great expectations for me and even predicted I would become the first undergraduate in my areas. With this unique glory, I started to assume that everything I got had nothing to do with my diligence, and if I wanted,I could attain it without any more ado. Evidently, I failed in gaokao. Disappointment covered my family and I even wanted to commit suicide. Ironically, at that moment I realized that I was a cowardly man. I couldn't forgive myself until now. Because of my frivolity, I lost everything and depressed the whole family. My parents said nothing to me, which made me crazy and feel more guilty. That's the biggest regret in my life.
