金色十年(jīnsè shínián):Golden decade

In his keynote speech at the Business Forum of the 9th BRICS Summit in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province, on Sunday, President Xi Jinping said BRICS member states should work together and deepen their partnerships in an all-round way, in order to usher in the second "golden decade" of BRICS cooperation.

Xi emphasized four aspects of BRICS members' cooperation. First, the BRICS members should make efforts to promote pragmatic economic cooperation. Pragmatic cooperation is the basis of BRICS cooperation, and the BRICS members have made great achievements in this respect. In the future, the BRICS members should focus more on trade and investment, monetary finance, connectivity, sustainable development, innovation and industrial cooperation.

Second, the BRICS members should use their comparative advantages in terms of resources, markets and labor force to deepen their strategic connection.

Third, they should actively participate in global governance to promote fair and reasonable development of the world order, and develop a new form of international relations that will facilitate all countries' peaceful and stable development.
