Lone mountain guard

Gao Dianshuang walks uphill to the Langwo peak, Linqu county, Weifang, East China's Shandong province, March 9, 2013. He just bought a pancake, a packet of pickles and two buckets at the bottom of the mountains. A former soldier, Gao is the only forest ranger in the mountains since 1999. Gao has to pick up water at the bottom of the mountain as there is no water facility in the watch house on the peak. No forest fires have occurred thanks to Gao's dedication to his work.
