Medical staff from the Peace Ark found a 7-day-old baby boy with bacterial skin infection during their rounds in the victims' settlement areas. The baby was immediately sent by helicopter to the Peace Ark for medical treatment. Joan G. Cornista, the local liaison officer, shed tears while escorting the baby on board.
