Introduction

China Daily set up a city bureau of Tianjin earlier this year, aiming to embrace and fuel the robust development of the Tianjin and its Binhai New Area, to be more specific.

The move is expected to build up a bridge between Tianjin Municipality and the rest of the world by fully exploring China Daily’s extensive resources and connections both at home and abroad.

The Binhai New Area or Tianjin at large is supposed to grow into the next growth engine of China, after Shenzhen and Shanghai Pudong.

As China’s leading national English newspaper group, China Daily and its Tianjin bureau aims to promote the Binhai New Area from a global perspective and fuel the further opening-up of Tianjin as a whole, in terms of publicity, news coverage and foreign investment attraction.

China Daily’s Tianjin bureau currently focus on news reporting on Tianjin and circum-Bohai Bay area, special in-depth reports, important conference and seminar organizing, Chinese and English websites set-up and maintenance, translations and public relationship services, etc.
