Film Museum to be built in Dayi County, Sichuan

Cui Yongyuan, celebrated host and film producer of CCTV, signed a cooperative agreement to establish a film museum in Anren town of Dayi County, Sichuan Province, on Sunday.
Covering an area of 6,000 square meters, the museum would have separate halls to showcase movies from home and abroad including classical and popular ones. Props and scenes would also be on display to tell visitors how films were made.
Cui set up his first film museum in Huairou District of Beijing this January, which draw wide attention and warm welcome.
Cui also planed to set up more film museums around China.
"I wish the film museum could be as popular as McDonalds in our country. For the film is really a special educational way. From films, people not only relax themselves, but also obtain knowledge and get motivated," he told chinadaily.com.cn.
Cui would also be the spokesman of Anren town in the following several years.
Boasting 13 museums and 27 old mansions, Anren is nicknamed as "China's Museum Town", especially known for its two State-level museums, namely former luxury mansion of Landowner Liu and Jianchuan Museum, China's largest museum settlement. The town attracted over 600,000 visitors in 2009.
