Folk artist Li Caiyun was taught the art of embroidery by her grandmother at an early age. Her Manchu-style embroidery is a crowd-gatherer and never fails to disappoint visitors at the 12th Harbin Folk Art Exhibition. Manchu-style embroidery rose to popularity during the Qing Dynasty in early 14th century, and has been known as the "royal embroidery of China's Qing Dynasty".
