The award ceremony of the Tianfu New Valley Cup Technology Innovation Competition was held in the Incubation Park of the Chengdu High-tech Zone in Sichuan province on Thursday.

The competition which kicked off on November 8, 2010 was under the guidance of the Torch Center of Ministry of Science and sponsored by the Technology Venture Association of China, Incubator Alliance of the Technology Venture Association of China and the Chengdu High-tech Zone.

In the wake of the preliminary, semi-final and final, 14 projects won awards. Of which, projects from Chengdu, Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu and Guangdong provinces won first, second and third awards.

The seismic warning and intensity fast reporting system was one of the two projects winning the top award, organizers said.
