Good afternoon, distinguished guests, ladies and gentleman:

I'd like to welcome you to the “2012 We Together China Daily Golf Friendship Cup”, and, on behalf of China Daily, let me say that I appreciate your taking time out of your busy schedules to take part in our activity, and thank you for your continued support of China Daily.

This is the second year for China Daily to organize this golf invitation. This year, we’ve invited some prominent members of society, from China and abroad, and have arranged them in 5 teams – the China Daily reader’s team, the American Chamber of Commerce, the European Chamber of Commerce, Chaoyang Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment, and the People’s University alumni association.

China Daily is an important window on the world, a means for China to increase mutual understanding and a platform for international communications and business, a place where you can make friends or seek cooperation. I’m looking forward to this activity and the chance to let the participants get to know each other and continue friendship and cooperation.

And, last but not least, let me wish all of you, and the Golf Invitational, the very best in the competition and good results for everyone. Thank you again for joining us.
