Qingdao International Beer City is the biggest beer metropolis in Asia and the home of the annual Qingdao International Beer Festival. Located in the Shilaoren National Tourist Holiday Resort, the beer city is a top grade beer-culture-themed amusement park. It sees nearly four million tourists annually from home and abroad, making the place an international entertainment paradise. The beer city also hosts a happy beer carnival as well.

The beer city enjoys a convenient location at the crossroads of Xianggang East Road and Haier Road. It faces the Shilaoren bathing beach and sits to the right of the Qingdao International Convention Center. It covers an area of 35 hectares. It has an entertainment area in the south and a comprehensive area in the north.

Visitors will be confronted with a large sculpture at the gate of the beer city – a goblet in the shape of a world map standing in the center of a round pool. Beer foam overflows out of the goblet, which features the logo of Tsingtao Beer. At the back of the pool is a half-moon-shaped stone wall that says “International Beer City”. Colored lanterns, fountains and water columns are beautiful at night.

A square that can hold 10,000 people in the beer city is a permanent place for the beer festival celebration, featuring thousands of chairs on a wide lawn. Roads leading to districts from the square are embedded with brocatel marbles.

The Qingdao International Beer City is the main venue for the annual International Beer Expo, which gathers beer brands and tourists from all over the world and features various entertainment programs.
