The Former Watsons is at 150 North Jiefang Road, Heping District, next to the Former Talati House Hotel. It is now a general protection historic architecture in Tianjin and is used as an office building. Watsons was opened in Tianjin in 1886 and sold mainly Western medicine and was moved to this building in the early twentieth century.
It is a four-storied building which covers an area of 600 square meters and has a floor area of about 2100 square meters. Cement is applied to the facade and square Ionic pillars are used between the second and the third floor. Simplified Western classic patterns are used to decorate the mural columns, demonstrating a simple style of Western classical architecture.
