In order to celebrate the 14th World Intellectual Property Day and the 11th National Intellectual Property Publicity Week, the activity of Shanghai Intellectual Property Publicity Week was officially launched on April 21st.
The Second China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair was held over the same time as Publicity Week.
Based on Shanghai Fair's intellectual property theme activity, a series of intellectual property publicity activities were developed during April 21-27: the Shanghai Intellectual Property Situation Briefing was hosted for foreign consular officers stationed in Shanghai and commerce chamber representatives; the Shanghai Fair Intellectual Property Professional Theme Forum for theme-oriented enterprises and public institutions discussed the technology trade practices of intellectual property application and protection; the third Shanghai Brand Development Forum on Brand and Urban Economy held the Yangtze River Delta Intellectual Property Strategy Implementation Conference; the SIPO Patent Reexamination Board hosted a roving oral hearing and public hearing of invalid patent cases.
Member units of the Intellectual Property Joint Conference at municipal and district levels, along with the Colleges and Universities Intellectual Property Volunteer Association and all sectors of the society also respectively organized public lectures on intellectual property, such as policy information sessions, press conferences, training, law enforcement and inspection, live intellectual property case trails and simulated trails.
