Internet media focus on Zhejiang merchants in Jiaxing

An information meeting regarding a scheduled trip to Jiaxing for Internet media sites was held on May 21 in the city of Jiaxing, located in the central Yangtze River Delta, Zhejiang province.

Themed on Zhejiang Merchants’ Entrepreneurship and Innovation, the Jiaxing trip has attracted more than 20 mainstream Internet media sites throughout China.

Liang Qun, standing committee member of the CPC Jiaxing municipal committee and executive vice-mayor, was on hand and made a presentation in Jiaxing at the opening ceremony.

Liang opened the lecture with an introduction of Jiaxing municipality in regards to location, population and finance.

In response to the trip’s theme, Liang briefed Jiaxing’s advantages for Zhejiang merchant investment and start-ups, including geographic advantage, natural environment and investment policy.

He also summarized Jiaxing’s corresponding works surrounding merchant business in recent years, from systematic optimization, preferential policies to service-oriented administration reform. Also in the lecture, Liang introduced the highlights, coordination and cooperation of local governments and society in supporting and inviting Zhejiang merchant start-up and innovation in Jiaxing, as well as the city’s plans and tasks surrounding this topic.

Hosted by the publicity department of the CPC Jiaxing municipal committee and Jiaxing municipal government’s cooperation and exchange office, the Internet media Jiaxing trip will last from May 21 to 23. The Internet media will learn about Jiaxing’s efforts and achievements in attracting Zhejiang merchant investment to the city as well as merchant ventures and innovation in Jiaxing.
