Wuxi starts registration for marathon

Registration for Wuxi International Marathon held on Mar 15, 2015, will be open to the public starting from Dec 18, 2014, at wuximarathon.com.

The run will add three age groups, with 500 yuan ($80.69) to 2000 ($322.76) yuan for top 10 placed runners. Runners with the top 3 total score will be awarded 50,000 yuan($8069), 20,000 yuan ($3228), and 10,000 yuan ($1614), respectively.

Full marathon and half marathon can be registered at the first phase of the registration period, from Dec 18, 2014, to Jan 8, 2015. The second phase, Jan 9 - 20, 2015, will allow registrations of full marathon, half marathon and mini marathon.

Sponsors of the marathon are the Chinese Athletics Association, Jiangsu Sports Bureau, and Wuxi Municipal People's Government.

Tips:

Runners must be over 20 years of age for full marathon, 18 years of age for half marathon, and 12 years of age for mini marathon.

People suffering from heart disease, and diabetes cannot participate in the marathon.
