Foreigners' view of Jiangsu visits Changzhou

The exhibition was complemented by a cultural exchange experience during which foreign visitors were given chance to personally try the making of Changzhou’s local handicrafts such as paper cutting, bamboo engraving and random embroidery. The random embroidery is a kind of art form, which uses random stitch to make a vivid picture.

"I am deeply impressed by the paper-cutting art of Changzhou and feel very excited to try to make the handicraft by myself," said Botulu Mbuli, a participant from France.

"I hope foreigners can get a better understanding of the culture, natural beauty and socio-economic development of different parts of Jiangsu through the culture-themed trips," said Si Jinquan, the director of the Jiangsu provincial government's information office, during his speech at the launch ceremony of the paper-cutting exhibition.

Foreigners who took part in the tour either work or study in Jiangsu province. Their interests in Jiangsu's social, cultural and economic life were well-catered through this well-thought of organization by Changzhou and Jiangsu officials.
