The China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), which has successfully concluded 11 sessions so far, has created a new model of all-dimensional cooperation incorporating friendly exchanges, economic and trade collaboration and people-to-people interactions. It has grown to become a well-recognized platform for cooperation between China and ASEAN, an asset to promote trade and investment and an engine of deepening bilateral cooperation on all fronts. The CAEXPO has witnessed and contributed to the Golden Decade of China-ASEAN Cooperation, emerging as a special international event held on a yearly basis, co-sponsored by the governments of China and the 10 ASEAN countries.

2015 marks the China-ASEAN Maritime Cooperation Year. In this connection, the 12th CAEXPO will feature the Maritime Silk Road of the 21st Century as its theme and will work to provide more business opportunities to upgrade the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, expand cooperation and to reap more tangible economic returns.

Thailand will be the Country of Honor, and the Republic of Korea (ROK) will act as the Special Guest Country.
