Chen Wu, the chairman of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and deputy director of the CAEXPO Committee, stressed that this year was important for both the comprehensive promotion of The Belt and Road Initiative and the maritime cooperation between China and ASEAN countries. In cooperation with the committee's member units, Guangxi is making utmost efforts to host these two meetings, which can better serve China's national neighboring diplomacy and The Belt and Road Initiative. Moreover, it will make the best use of its location advantage and the platform effect of the meetings, implement a more active opening strategy, establish a more vital economy, broaden and deepen its open collaboration with ASEAN countries and finally form an all-round platform along the ocean, river and frontier. By doing this, Guangxi will endeavor to fulfill its three duties mandated by the country by building an international channel connecting ASEAN countries, strengthening cross-border cooperation, speeding up the efforts for a comprehensive financial reform and deepening cultural and educational exchanges. In the end, he called for continuous support for holding similar meetings to ensure further practical achievement.

Gao Yan, the deputy minister of China's Ministry of Commerce and deputy director of the CAEXPO Committee, chaired the conference and made the concluding remarks.
