Chinese engineering machinery and vehicles of premium quality will be showcased at the upcoming 12th China-ASEAN Expo, where a new round of business opportunities will be created for buyers and traders from ASEAN countries and other parts of the world.

A grand gathering of leading Chinese manufactures

The 12th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) will be held in Nanning, Guangxi, China, from Sept 18 to 21. It will set up an exhibition zone for engineering machinery and vehicles to give particular prominence to 'Made-in-China' products that have great market potential.

Featured exhibits will fall into four categories, namely, construction machinery that will include excavators, road machinery, mixing machines, loading machines, lift trucks and cranes; transportation vehicles that will display construction vehicles, railway vehicles, tramcars, pickups, mini buses, medium-sized buses and low-speed lorries; warehouse and logistics equipment such as sorting equipment, lifting equipment and smart conveyers, and finally agricultural machinery.

Engineering machinery and transportation vehicles remain to be one of the main highlights of the CAEXPO. Over the past 11 years, 743 manufacturing companies participated in the engineering machinery and vehicles exhibition at the CAEXPO and occupied an accumulative total area of 80,000 square meters. About 80 percent of the exhibitors at the 11th CAEXPO were those who took part in the previous expos, making it the highest consecutive attendance rate by companies compared to all specialized exhibitions across China.

According to the CAEXPO Secretariat, 52 manufacturing companies have applied for an area of 6,900 square meters in total, equivalent to 767 standard booths. Among the applicants are many iconic and brand enterprises, including Xiamen XGMA Machinery Co., Ltd., CRRC Corporation Limited, Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd., Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd., Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group Co., Ltd., Guangxi Construction Engineering Group and MESDA.

In line with the latest trends in the automobile industry, some new energy-powered vehicles will be on display for the first time at the CAEXPO, which will surely prompt extensive interest among the visitors. Metro vehicles, trolleybus and energy-saving low floor trams will also be displayed outdoors for buyers to have a close personal experience and possible test drive.

Popularity in ASEAN countries and prospects for cooperation

China's engineering machinery and vehicles have been taking an increasing market share in ASEAN countries. Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, chairman of Vietnam Engineering Machinery Association, says, "China's engineering machinery fit our national conditions and meet our urgent needs given their high quality, state-of-the-art technology and competitive prices. These products are quite popular in Vietnam." With the tide of globalization, exchanges between China and ASEAN countries are strengthened and the bilateral trade soars. Made-in-China automobiles and engineering machinery prevail in ASEAN markets. Mutually beneficial and lucrative prospects are on the horizon for increased cooperation.

At the previous 11 CAEXPOs, engineering machinery and transportation vehicles attracted many buyers home and abroad, bringing them together under one roof. Targeted trade visitors representing China, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippines chose to attend the expo to meet and do business with the exhibitors.

With distinctive design, quality and price competitiveness, China's engineering machinery and transportation vehicles enjoy great popularity in ASEAN countries and global markets, becoming the first choice for many buyers. With economic recovery and growth rate gaining momentum in recent years, ASEAN countries' demand for engineering machinery increases rapidly. More and more renowned Chinese enterprises have entered into the ASEAN markets step by step by financing factories, establishing marketing agencies and building regional marketing platforms. Exhibitors bring to the CAEXPO more custom-made products like mini digging machines and small low-speed transportation vehicles in line with the ASEAN buyers' demands.

On-site programs to provide updated market intelligence

The CAEXPO Secretariat will continue to organize effective programs to help participants have more rewarding business trips.

Such programs include the Exhibitors' Rostrum and on-site trade matching events. Renowned exhibiting enterprises will be invited to the Exhibitors' Rostrum to share the latest trends and state of the art innovations in the engineering machinery & vehicles industry. The Seminar on Investment Promotion and Trade Exchange of Hong Kong and China-ASEAN Engineering Projects Cooperation and Development Forum will be held on the sidelines of the CAEXPO, which will see the executives of relevant high-impact engineering machinery enterprises discuss industry issues, in an effort to offer solutions to possible problems in China-ASEAN cooperation in the field of engineering machinery industry.
