Characteristic towns to add vigor to hi-tech zone

Three characteristic towns will invigorate the Xi'an Hi-tech Industries Development Zone and boost its culture and tourism industry.

The plan was nailed down through projects signed between the Xi'an Hi-tech Zone and Xiangsheng Group at a ceremony held in Xi'an on May 12.

With a 20-billion yuan investment, the conglomerate plans to build three towns focussing on the urbanization, culture preservation and rural construction in Xi'an.

Xiangsheng Group is a leading company in property development integrating businesses in hotel tourism, energy investment, property service and commercial trade.

Another project highlighting the urban development was also confirmed with an cooperation with the northwest branch of Power China, one of the largest comprehensive solutions providers for the power industry in China, adding an investment of one billion yuan to the zone's pocket.

The national development zone managed to pocket two key projects with a total investment of 21 billion yuan at the provincial-level signing ceremony.
