Beijing BOE Optoelectronics Technology Co, Ltd, founded in June 2003, currently covers an area of 145,000 sq meters. It is the only domestic enterprise in Chinese mainland that has fully mastered the key technology of TFT-LCD. The main activities include R & D, design, production and sales of TFT-LCD products.

Since its registration and founding, BOE has achieved a rapid development. From plant completion, output volume and excellent quality rate, BOE has created many speed records with strong supports of BDA. The development of BOE is closely related with BDA. BOE has not only enjoyed the superior infrastructures here, but also received quality and professional services from the BDA Administrative Committee. We shall achieve a harmonious win-win with BDA and make joint efforts to promote a good and rapid development of regional economy.

As a Korean, I have been working here for five years ever since the launch of the factory. The work and life of me and my colleagues has been made considerable easier by the BDA’s introduction of clear roads, convenient transportation and excellent facilities for food, sanitation and housing. BDA has created an excellent cultural and ecological environment, gathering many high-end industries and talents from all over the world.

Its scale and structure are also very impressive. Compared with other industrial parks, it has distinct regional advantages and a far better employment environment. The growth of BOE has benefited considerably from the supports of BDA. BDA had advanced thinking on green development issue and technological innovation and its ability to provide companies inside the area with professional plans and services.

BDA prides itself on offering both supportive polices and funding to high-tech enterprises inside the park, creating a nurturing environment for technological innovation and development. In keeping with the missions of BDA, BOE Optoelectronics also attaches considerable importance to technological innovation. It has led the technologies of AFFS, 4MASK yield maintenance, LC instillation and TFT-LCD product development.

In 2009, BOE Optoelectronics has been actively cooperating with BOE Group in the development of an eighth generation TFT-LCD production line under the supports from Beijing Municipal Government and the BDA Administrative Committee. The project has considerable strategic significance in the development of China’s digital flat-panel display industry. Its ultimate success will represent an important step in the development of China’s electronic information industry.

In terms of green development, BOE Optoelectronics has developed a series of green products mainly represented by 17-inch and 19-inch widescreen LCDs. They can reduce energy consumption, protect the environment, lower costs and offer simplified designs. While answering the BDA calls for green development and building an eco-friendly area, BOE has also achieved excellent market effects. In the future, BOE Optoelectronics shall further expand its investment in green eco-friendly products and make a greater contribution for a green and harmonious society.
