Liangjiang New Area Public Rental Housing recently signed a cooperation agreement with Chongqing Unicom to establish a smart public rental housing community, liangjiang.gov.cn reported.

The two parties will firstly cooperate on seven public rental housing projects by establishing a data base to achieve a systematic rental procedure. The alliance was founded to take advantage of their respective edges in technology, resources and clients.

Basic tenant information including their rental start date will be in the data base as well as the information management system which is connected to the urban public basic information base.

They will also cooperate in smart city construction, broadband information integration, an IDC data center, Internet plus and “broadband China”initiatives.

In addition to smart public rental housing, Liangjiang New Area has compiled a general plan for constructing smart cities. The plan focuses on information infrastructure, public information and governmental affairs. It has a geological information cloud service platform that integrates cloud computing and the Internet of Things in establishing a data base to update service.

Liangjiang New Area will invest 16 billion yuan ($2.45 billion) before 2020 in seven fields: smart cities, smart logistics, housing, transportation, governmental affairs, city planning and construction.
