The Marlborough Arms was my local pub when I both lived and worked in Bloomsbury.The British Pub plays an important role in society. There are two long running TV Soap Operas centered around pubs.

I spent the first 18 years growing up in Blackpool, on the North West Coast of England, before moving to London for uni and then work.

Blackpool is the UK's leading holiday resort with beaches, donkey rides, leisure centers, zoo and many inexpensive hotels. It has the famous Blackpool Tower, a slightly shorter version of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Entertainment in the Tower and more in the Pleasure Beach with the Pepsi Max as Europe's highest roller-coaster.

Blackpool also has three piers jetting out into the sea with games arcades at the front and a theater for comedy shows at the end. In my last two school summer vacations, I worked as a Bingo Caller on one of the piers.

Finally Blackpool has a famous Football Club, that I was a Vice-President member of in old days.I still went back to watch from London. In the Premiership a few seasons ago, now sadly in League One. Famous for winning the FA Cup in their third Wembley final appearance in 1954 - I was not there! They were back there for a promotion win last decade.
