Experiencing cultural and historical sites in Shanxi

The Ancient City of Pingyao is one of the best preserved examples of a walled city in China. As an outstanding example of Chinese Han Nationality cities in the Ming and Qing dynasties, it fully reflects the city's development in culture, society, economy and religion of those periods.
