China Southern Airlines offers special international packages during the Mid-Autumn Festival and China's National Day golden week. Round-trip tickets between Chinese cities to Seoul, Perth, Paris and Amsterdam can be low from 1,972 yuan ($322) for passengers who book their tickets before Sept 30.

Hainan Airlines opened its first direct line between Beijing and Chicago on Sept 3. It flies twice a week on Tuesdays and Sundays. Round-trip tickets start from 3,280 yuan if passengers book their November and December flights now.
