Kanas Lake. A photo taken on June 22, 2012 shows a beautiful scene at Kanas Lake in the Altay prefecture, Southwest China's Xinjiang Uyghur autonomous region. The lake was formed around 200,000 years ago during the Quaternary Period as a result of glacier movement. Around 117 different kinds of birds live along the lake. [Photo/IC] |
