[Photo/Xinhua] An ancient Chinese tower in Yueyang, Hunan Province, Yueyang Tower is famous greatly due to its literary associations. Many Chinese people first learn about Yueyang Tower though their school books in a renowned poem called Yueyanglou Jji (The Memorial to Yueyang Tower), written by Song poet Fan Zhongyan. During Oct 1-3 of this year's National Day holiday, tourists are being encouraged to recite the complete poem fluently at the site to get a free pass to the tourist site. |
