Spring scenery of Huangyao ancient town

Tourists visit Huangyao ancient town in Hezhou city, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, April 6, 2016. Huangyao ancient town is located to the southwest of Hezhou and is renowned for its mountain scenery. According to historical records, the town originated in the Song Dynasty. It got its name because most of residents’ surnames were Huang and Yao, hence it was named Huangyao. Over 300 historical buildings that date back to the Ming and Qing dynasties are well preserved in Huangyao, plus a good number of ancient pavilions and temples.
