From an old fat guy to a yoga idol

Ding Feng, 59, only began practicing yoga by chance while accompanying his wife to the gym and has never looked back.

That was five years ago and Ding has become an expert. "He can do extremely difficult acts that I cannot do," Ding's first yoga teacher said.

Ding has been studying and practicing yoga at home since 2012 and has converted his living room to a practice hall. He has lost 25 kilograms from his starting weight of 95 kg over the years and the police failed to recognize him when he went to change his driving license.

He is now a yoga star and was invited to the Shanghai International Yoga conference last month.
