How-Old.net shows corrupt officials age faster after trial
Microsoft's new app How-Old.net, which can detect users' age and gender from photos based on face detection software, aroused many people's curiosity, as they tested the software with all kinds of photos.
With a few exceptions, the software did a great job guessing the age of most people. That is, until it came to officials under trial for corruption.
The Beijing News used the app to show that corrupt officials age much faster while under trial. Officials looked high-spirited and vigorous before being investigated for corruption, but looked tired, hoary and much older under the pressure of their trials, proving that corruption doesn't pay if you're caught.
