Women don bikinis to barbecue
A woman in a bikini or pretty swimsuit seems to be a feature of many sales promotions. This time, they oddly showed up at a barbecue and rafting festival in a canyon Saturday in Sanmenxia, Henan province.
Three women, two in bikinis, one in a swimsuit and all wearing eye masks, barbecued mutton skewers, attracting onlookers.
While scantily-clad women in bikinis may be great eye candy, not all potential barbecue buyers were ready to pull out their wallets. Each mutton skewer sold for 100 yuan ($17), which is insanely higher than the usual price of the tasty meat.
The barbecue vendor stressed the high cost reflected the best mutton for sale, but nobody thought it worth the price and thought about buying.
