The Chinese Vice-President Xi Jinping initiated the 14th China International Fair for Investment and Trade, or the CIFIT, with a huge golden key in Xiamen, Fujian province on Wednesday morning.
Hosted by the Chinese Minister of Commerce Chen Deming, hundreds of guests, including dozens of world leaders, ministers and corporate executives witnessed the moment.
The CIFIT committee said that it’s the first time the event has launched a virtual fair online at the same time as the physical one, but the virtual event will last all-year-long.
The CIFIT will feature dozens of Chinese provinces' investment products and services over the next four days.
