BEME III concludes with an experimental salon, showing the contemporary status of China's electronic music avant-garde. JFI and iimmune return from night one at Dada to bring their harshest, strangest, most untested ideas to the fore. Menghan returns once again, joined this time by MMS (improvised splicing) and Charm (percussion, electronics) for the hybrid electro-acoustic live ensemble, STEEL. Delhi's Hashback Hashish returns as well, deconstructing stems from his 2014 album Stoned for a live, ambient set. The guest of honor at BEME III's finale is Hangzhou-based Wang Changcun, one of China's earliest innovators in sound software development.

Hayao Miyazaki, 73, is a Japanese film director, animator, manga artist, illustrator, producer, and screenwriter. Through a career that has spanned six decades, Miyazaki has attained international acclaim as a masterful storyteller and as a maker of anime feature films and, along with Isao Takahata, co-founded Studio Ghibli, a film and animation studio. He is considered one of the most popular and influential animators in cinema.Miyazaki's films often contain recurrent themes, like humanity's relationship with nature and technology, feminism, and the difficulty of maintaining a pacifist ethic. Roller derby, the full-contact sport played on eight wheels, has become a small hit in Beijing. Whether you're a seasoned player, or haven't skated since you were 10, or have never laced up a skate, all are welcome to join our twice-weekly practices at Tuanjiehu Park's skating rink. We'll teach you the rules, the skills, and the moves, all with plenty of fun along the way. All ages, nationalities, and genders are welcome. Skates are available for rental at the rink; our loan gear and equipment is available free of charge on a first come, first served basis. Come join a community of athletic-minded locals and expats as we continue to grow our league - one of just two in Chinese mainland - and learn to play the coolest sport you've never heard of.
