Sophie Hunter gets seal of approval from Anna Wintour

As the pregnant fiancée of a 2015 Oscars Best Actor nominee－Benedict Cumberbatch－Sophie Hunter is no doubt feeling the pressure when it comes to red carpet dressing. But she can at least be safe in the knowledge that she's got the most powerful person in fashion on her side; Anna Wintour.

The 36-year-old attended the Valentino show at Paris Haute Couture Week－the hottest ticket at the four-day event－with the infamous editor-in-chief of US Vogue.

"She can take all of the credit. That's the reason I'm here," Hunter told WWD, revealing that she has been somewhat taken under Wintour's Prada-clad wing.

Hunter, wearing a white Valentino shirt dress and the brand's covetable "Rock Stud" heels, is perhaps considering the Milanese fashion house to create her gown for the Oscars－or even her wedding dress. The theatre director is set to wed Cumberbatch before they welcome their first child in the summer. Afterall, Wintour likes to have a hand in the making of a budding style maven－she is said to have convinced Amal Alamuddin to choose Oscar de la Renta to create her wedding dress and to have played a part in the lawyer's epic wedding wardrobe.

Hunter has been a constant companion of Cumberbatch's ever since they announced their engagement late last year. The British actor has been nominated for every big award going for his role as Alan Turing in The Imitation Game, which has meant a lot of high-profile red carpet appearances. So far she has navigated the scarlet rug with aplomb, opting most often for full-length designs by London-based designer Erdem. In fact, we've waxed lyrical about her style a number of times already.

And with Wintour, a friend and fan of Cumberbatch's, on her side we can expect to see many more fashion hits before the 2015 awards season is out.
