Japan's 'Diversity Waterfall' displays numerous CG images that 'pour down'. Touching these images brings up information about the diversity of Japanese agriculture and food culture.

Harmonious diversity

The Japanese pavilion lives up to all that one can expect from it: an intricate layout, thrilling visual effects and an appreciation for nature and tradition.

The pavilion was so popular that we queued for about 50 minutes.

It varies greatly in interior and exterior presentations. The exterior wall to hold up the pavilion is constructed in a three-dimensional wooden grid structure. The architecture is supported by renewable woods and epitomizes the traditional construction techniques of the Buddhist Horyuji Temple, in Japan's Nara Prefecture. The carved wooden joints are assembled together without nails or other metal couplers, quite like the Chinese sunmao structure.

When people wait outside and inside the pavilion, they are surrounded by the grid which gives an airy, peaceful feeling.

The interior zones engage visitors with fantastic, dream-like experiences of lights and sounds. Thanks to a latest projection mapping technology, the mirror-like screens on the wall and the floor are projected with dazzling, computer-generated images, which render imaginative scenes of the four seasons.
