Plays by Tony Lifetime Achievement Award playwright Athol Fugard will be staged for the first time in China, as the first installment of Chen Wencong International Theater Company's World Theater Masters series. Written by the South African playwright, My Children! My Africa!, The Island and The Train Driver, are riveting plays exploring racial relationships and moral dilemmas during the Apartheid. Time Magazine dubs him "the greatest active playwright in the English-speaking world", while The New Yorker describes him as "a primary candidate for either the Nobel Prize in Literature or the Nobel Peace Prize".
