MA: Ma Jianfeng Solo Exhibition

This exhibition systemizes and reproduces Ma Jianfeng's works in stages over the last two years. He continues using highly saturated acrylic paint and materials such as waste paper board, wooden case and plastic cloth. These are employed to create individual, fragmented, separable and reconfigurable objects. Different from his previous works, he starts to engage with and transform more diverse found objects. Most importantly, he proactively injects volume into flat painting materials that used to rely on the being of wall. Consequently, they are endowed with the validity of existing independently in the space and become open to the possibility of interacting flexibly with one another.

Pecking duck at Grand Hyatt

Made in China, the famed Chinese restaurant in Beijing is kicking off a two-week-long promotion of its signature pecking duck specialty from Sept 2-15. It will reveal 150 limited pecking ducks with each duck carefully roasted in an old fashioned wood-fired oven to ensure this authentic delicacy. The promotion is just one among a lineup of activities and unique offers to celebrate 15th Anniversary of the Grand Hyatt Beijing at Oriental Plaza, an ironic landmark and one of the first international hotel brands on Chang'an Avenue. Special anniversary price of pecking duck is 150 yuan per set. There will be limited 150 sets, first come first serve. The price is subject to 10 percent service charge and 6 percent VAT on the total.
