One of Shakespeare's most monumental works, The Tempest will be produced by the whole production team of Ulysses upon the invitation of the Beijing Xinchan Performing Arts Center to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death in 2016. As an opening drama of Xinchan Drama's '2015 Chinese-English Literary Theatre Connection', Ulysses was the first literary masterpiece to be put onplay stage, having previously had four tours in China. The performances were a great success and made a stir in the dramatic and literary world. Due to be performed in China this time, The Tempest will be a great work on the stage, with the storm and shipwreck of the opening, and the magic and illusions mixed with absurd farce and visual play which present moments of delicate beauty and sadness.
