Yellow-shirt group to ask Thai PM to act against 'red-shirts'

BANGKOK - The "yellow-shirt" group Monday resolved to submit demands to the Prime Minister on April 29 to ask him to take action against the anti-government "red-shirt" protestors.
The "yellow-shirt" People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) group is one of Thailand's active political groups.
The "yellow-shirt" people have demanded the government announce clear-cut measures to deal with the "red-shirt" protestors, who have seized the Rathchaprasong Intersection in Bangkok.
On April 29, at 10:00 am, two "yellow-shirt" core leaders, Major General Chamlong Srimuang and Pipob Thongchai, will lead the "yellow shirt" supporters to submit the demands to Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva at the 11th Infantry Regiment.
The Center for the Resolution of Emergency Situation (CRES), which is established to deal with emergency, is located inside the 11th Infantry Regiment in capital Bangkok as Prime Minister Abhisit has also worked from this barrack.
The "red-shirt" rally has been held from March 12 and they are now gathering at the Rathchaprasong Intersection.
They have demanded Prime Minister Abhisit to "immediately" dissolve the lower House of parliament and hold a new general election.
They are viewing that, apart from the House dissolution, there is no other solution to the country's ongoing political conflict.
But, at the same time the rise of Thais in "various-color shirts", including the "yellow-shirts", who have opposed the early House dissolution, is increasingly growing.
