          President Xi Jinping and US President Barack Obama held?one private meeting that lasted three-hour and included a private dinner,?one welcome ceremony,?one press conference,?one formal and closed-door talk, and?one state dinner in 2 days from Sept 24-25, 2015.

          The private dinner, scheduled for two hours, lasted for three hours with the two leaders exploring many issues, at the nigh of Sept 24, 2015, after Xi arrives in Washington DC.

          Xi: China's open door will never be closed to the world. "The Belt and Road" and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank welcome US effort

          Obama: The US welcomes China's peaceful rise, and the two countries have successfully cooperated over climate change and tackling Ebola.

          Xi: The Pacific Ocean is big enough to accommodate China and US. The common interests of the two countries way outnumber the differences. Obama: I don’t agree with "the Thucydides trap", and US and China should try their best to avoid conflict.

          Xi and Obama held a joint news conference in the Rose Garden of the White House in Washington on Sept 25. Obama spoke first and said he welcomes the rise of the peace, stable and responsible country and will sustain cooperation with China.

          On cyber security

          Obama announced he had reached a common understanding and significant progress with Xi on cyber security.

          1. Both sides have agreed that neither government would support cyber theft of corporate secrets or business information.

          2. Xi reiterated China's denial of any government role in the hacking of US corporate secrets.

          3. Xi said the best way to address the problem was through bilateral cooperation and not to politicize this issue.

          4. The two countries will promote establishing a hot-line and a high-level dialogue mechanism in combating cyber crime.

          5. The two sides discussed ways to promote the state code of conduct for the cyberspace of the international community.

          On Climate Change

          1. China will launch its national emission trading system in 2017, covering key industry sectors such as iron and steel, power generation, chemicals and building materials.

          2. China will channel 20 billion yuan ($3.14 billion) to help developing countries combat climate change, a significant financial pledge from an emerging economy.

          3. China will strictly control public investment flowing into projects with high pollution and carbon emissions both domestically and internationally.

          4. China and the US agreed on the need for an enhanced transparency system to ensure trust and confidence.

          On human rights

          1. Realizing the Chinese Dream is a process that promotes social justice and advances human rights.

          2. Democracy and human rights are the common pursuits of human kind, the rights of people in different countries to choose their own development path must be respected.

          3.Chinais willing to conduct human rights dialogue with the US based on equality and mutual respect, so as to expand consensus, narrow differences, learn from each other, and make progress together.

          On South China Sea

          1. China is committed to resolving disputes in South China Sea in a peaceful manner and protecting the freedom of navigation and overflights.

          2.The construction activity that China is undertaking in the Nansha Islands does not target or impact any country and there is no intention to militarize.

          3.China and the US support the maintenance of peace and stability in the South China Sea, and uphold a peaceful solution to disputes through negotiations and consultations.

          4.The two sides finalizes a plan aimed at reducing the risk of air-to-air military encounters in areas such as the South China Sea through adoption of common rules of behavior.

          Xi put forward a six-pronged proposal for next-stage development of China-US relations during a closed-door talk with Obama in the Oval Office at the White House.

          Xi said China is willing to work together with the US to adhere to non-conflict, non-confrontation, mutual respect and win-win cooperation; constantly expand practical cooperation at bilateral, regional and global levels; and manage differences and sensitive issues with constructive means, so as to ensure that bilateral ties will always move ahead on the right track.

          1.The two sides should maintain close exchanges and communication at all levels.

          2.The two countries should expand and deepen practical cooperation in various fields.

          3.China and theUSshould promote people-to-people exchange.

          4.The two countries should respect their differences and learn from each other.

          5.The two sides should deepen dialogue and cooperation in Asia-Pacific affairs.

          6.They should jointly deal with regional and global challenges.
