Competitor: Gao Tingyu
Unlike their counterparts who might have a little breathing space, some athletes in figure skating, speedskating, short track speedskating and curling have plunged into competitions right after the Pyeongchang Olympics.
Gao Tingyu claimed bronze in the men’s speedskating 500-meter event, and was the first Chinese male speedskater to win a medal at the Winter Olympic Games. Since then he has attended the ISU World Sprint Speedskating Championships in March and is striving for better results in the future.
