What we do for an unusual Spring Festival

I'd been thinking for a while before I made the decision to stay put, given that Spring Festival is the most important traditional holiday in China. But as a medical intern, I am well aware of the risks of infection I might encounter during the trip. To ensure the health of my family members and myself, I finally chose not to return home.
However, our college gave much care to we students who didn't leave. A number of activities have been held for us to celebrate the festival, such as making dumplings, writing the "Fu" character and guessing lantern riddles. It is truly a memorable New Year.
I'm going to shop for food with my roommates on the eve of the festival and have a nice chat and share snacks with them. It's the first time for me to stay in Shanghai during the Spring Festival holiday, so going around and exploring Shanghai is also part of my plan.
