Given the expansion of capacity in the northern industrial park of Chengliu town and the increased residential heating needs in winter, there will inevitably be a rise in electricity load. We must accelerate the five distribution network projects in this area to enhance winter power support capacity, according to the Jiyuan Power Supply Company of the State Grid in Henan while analyzing the grid's carrying capacity regionally and refined measures to ensure power supply for winter on Oct 21.

As late autumn has arrived and winter is approaching, the company is coordinating operations and taking early action. They are focused on strengthening the power grid, optimizing operations and enhancing safety measures, all while detailing power supply assurance strategies to prepare for peak winter demand.

The company prioritizes improving the network structure and increasing power supply capacity. It has organized professionals from the substation, with the transmission and distribution sectors to comprehensively consider the needs of industrial economic development and winter heating. They are carefully analyzing and assessing the carrying capacity of the grid in various regions and scientifically formulating and expediting projects such as the reinforcement of the 220 kV section, renovation of 110 kV lines and optimization of the 10 kV network structure to prepare for peak winter demand. They are also working to bring the 220 kV Fengxian transmission and transformation project into operation as soon as possible and vigorously advancing 158 urban and rural distribution network projects to effectively enhance power supply levels during winter.

The safe operation of the power grid is the foundation and key to ensuring electricity supply in winter. Jiyuan Power Supply Company of the State Grid is conducting a thorough safety inspection for the autumn season, diligently implementing lean operation and maintenance requirements. They are currently focusing on safety, quality and overall progress in a coordinated manner, rigidly executing maintenance plans and accelerating the implementation of 123 autumn inspection projects. Through hazard mitigation and major technical renovations, they aim to enhance the safety and operational level of the power grid. Additionally, by strictly adhering to responsibilities, optimizing resource allocation, and conducting high-standard inspections of transmission lines in "three-crossing" sections and distribution lines in mountainous areas, they are improving the operational quality of the grid in various regions.

Moreover, given that mountainous and hilly areas account for 88 percent of Jiyuan, with many high mountains, canyons, rivers and windy areas, Jiyuan Power Supply Company of the State Grid has included 119 distribution lines in its risk protection and safety control priorities. They are implementing targeted measures for each line, such as tightening insulated wires, reinforcing pole foundations, and installing rock fall protection barriers, to effectively lay a solid foundation for power supply during peak winter demand.
