Winter Olympic champion Yang Yang: Shanghai could serve as a model for winter sports development

The finals of the 17th Shanghai International Popular Sports Festival will take place in the Lin-gang Special Area from Oct 18 to 19, with "winter sports" as its core theme for the first time. Winter Olympic champion Yang Yang noted that this not only continues the original aspiration of bidding for the Beijing Winter Olympics but also enables Shanghai to set an example for the national promotion of winter sports thanks to its internationalization and economic scale.
