International film crews explore Beijing's Shougang Park
The Big Air Shougang is the world's first permanently preserved big air competition venue, inspired by the "Flying Apsaras" from Dunhuang murals. It consists of three parts: the track, the judges' tower, and the spectator area. The track is 164 meters long, 34 meters at its widest, and 60 meters at its highest. The main steel structure uses 4,100 tons of Shougang steel. During the Beijing Winter Olympics, Chinese athletes Gu Ailing and Su Yiming won gold medals here. Project leader Wang Jin stated that the venue will primarily host high-level international events, serve as a training ground for professional athletes, hold commercial cultural entertainment activities, and create sustainable operational consumption scenarios to make the park a hub of vitality.
