Ministry urges foreign investment following report showing economic growth

China welcomes companies from the United States, as well as other countries, to seize the opportunities of China's high-quality development and benefit from the country's trillion-yuan market, the Foreign Ministry said on Monday.

According to a survey report recently released by the American Chamber of Commerce in China, more than half of the responding US companies estimated that they made a profit in 2025.

The report showed that 71 percent of US companies have no intention to relocate operations overseas,?while 57 percent of US companies plan to increase their investment in China.

China's gross domestic product expanded by 5 percent to reach 140.19 trillion yuan?($20.13 trillion) in 2025, the National Bureau of Statistics said on Monday.

The ministry's spokesman, Guo Jiakun, said that the reports showed once again that China's vast market offers enormous opportunities to the world, and investing in China means staying ahead of the curve and becoming profitable.

The success of American companies in China demonstrates that Beijing and Washington benefit from cooperation, Guo said, adding that the steady, sound, and sustainable relationship is in the interests of both sides.
