Valentino illuminates the Year of the Horse
Studiososlow's "Harmony of Forms" starts with the Eastern spirit of "harmony," using contemporary design language to create a space that represents balance and aspiration. Composed of multiple lanterns made with bamboo frames, hand-bent, tied, and covered with paper, the installation allows soft light to gently flow between the structures, creating a quiet and layered spatial atmosphere. Its upward-centered layout echoes traditional ideas of balance between heaven and earth, expressing hopes for harmony, completeness, and progress at the turn of the year.
"Parallel Bamboo Forest" by designer Xu Mingyu explores the reintroduction of traditional bamboo weaving techniques into modern spaces. Using hand-woven and modular structures, the work maintains the essence of the craft while presenting it in a minimalist contemporary form. It combines sustainability with adaptability, suggesting new possibilities for traditional craftsmanship in everyday life.
