The appreciation of the yuan coincided with a property market boom since 2005, the anticipation of renminbi appreciation against the dollar led to a huge amount of US dollars flowing into China and invested heavily in the property market. The expectation of yuan devaluation will cause a flight of foreign capital in the property market.
