Third-generation A3 improves on past excellence

The new Audi A3, with comprehensive enhancements, continues to lead the compact premium car segment and accelerates Audi's youthful brand strategy.

FAW-VW Audi's new premium A3 entry, part of the family's rejuvenated third generation, has been launched with extensive improvements in power, exterior and technology.

The new A3 family is available in five models, which showcase a comprehensive product portfolio by bringing the A3 Limousine, A3 Sportback, A3 Cabriolet, S3 models and A3 Sportback e-tron together at the same time. This will offer diverse options for users in the premium compact market.

The models come with a 2.0L TFSI four-cylinder engine－replacing its predecessor, the 1.8 TFSI engine, while retaining a 1.4T engine choice for customers. The fuel consumption at a constant speed of 90 km/h is as low as 4.6 L/100km, the lowest in the whole class.

Equipped with extensive driver assistance systems including Audi active lane assist, Audi Pre Sense Front (with pedestrian protection), emergency assistance, park assistance and more, the new Audi A3 can stand proudly with models in higher classes in terms of diversity of technological features.

The MMI system, with a redesigned menu structure, supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with the Audi connect system, which provides news, weather, fuel prices and a Wi-Fi hotspot through built-in 4G LTE functionality. MMI Touch also supports the latest version of handwriting recognition.

The new models feature the standout China-exclusive body color. Optional LED matrix headlights－also available for the first time in the compact segment－distinguish the car with millions of combinations.

The interiors of these models have inherited the brand's essence: All of the dials and buttons illuminate themselves with a white backlight, and optional ambient light strips and footboards are also offered.
