Actor Sun Xing, his girlfriend and other friends were arrested while eating dinner at a restaurant on Jinbao Street. The actor later admitted to doing drugs in order to escape from his two failed marriages. He also admitted that he had been doing drugs for more ten years and felt that drugs provided him with power. He was detained for 19 days and released on May 5.
Sun held a press conference on May 9 to apologize to his fans.
